Hello there! I’m Kim, lovely to meet you!
I started The Moonlight Baker® back in August, 2010. Having so much free time during the summer, I figured, “Why not give this whole baking/ blogging thing a try?” Over a year later, and I’m still at it. Baking, blogging, and, of course, tasting.
When I started TMB, I was entering my senior year of high school. Now, I’m a college student living in the awesome city of Boston. There are so many great restaurants and eateries here, I’m sure they’ll have a culinary impact on me in one way or another (…or maybe just on my waistline. The jury’s still out on that one.)
The name “The Moonlight Baker®” comes from this tradition my best friends and I have. Every time we have a sleepover (because sleepovers are still totally socially acceptable at my age) we watch Law and Order: SVU and bake brownies. Without fail, at every sleepover, around midnight. I swear those brownies (even if they’ve only come from a box) taste better after midnight, and by the moonlight.
Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my blog! Let’s get baking!
~Additional Info~
Most of the recipes I blog about on here are baked and photographed in the morning or early afternoon. Nothing beats natural lighting when it comes to food photography. I shoot with a Nikon D3000 and an 18-55mm lens.
If you’d like to use/ re-publish any of the material posted on The Moonlight Baker®, please run it by me first! It is super important to me to maintain the integrity of the intellectual property of this site.
*Special thanks to my friend Gen for providing the lovely photograph you see on this page. Thanks Gen, you’re awesome!
